Lottery officials say a winning Mega Millions ticket worth $393 million was sold at a barbecue restaurant in Palos Heights, Illinois. Linda So reports.
The one winning Mega Millions ticket from Friday night's drawing was sold here at Nick's Barbecue in in suburban Chicago. The ticket worth $393 million matched all six numbers plus the Mega Ball. The owner of Nick's says he found out around midnight that his place sold the winning ticket. But it's still a secret as to who won it. SOUNDBITE: NICK ANDRICOPOULOS, OWNER OF NICK'S BBQ, SAYING: "We have no idea. We can't wait and we're very happy for the winner and we congratulate whoever that is." And for selling the winning ticket, Nick's will receive a check for 500-thousand dollars. SOUNDBITE: NICK ANDRICOPOULOS, OWNER OF NICK'S BBQ, SAYING: "We're happy for our good fortune and the winner's good fortune." The jackpot was the largest Mega Millions jackpot in almost a year and the fifth-largest prize in the game's 15-year history.
