US Vice-President Joe Biden meets Chinese No 2 Wu Bangguo in Beijing in an effort to build trust between the two nations. (SOUNDBITE) (English) UNITED STATES VICE PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN, SAYING: "As the two largest economies in the world, at the moment when the world economic circumstance is uneasy, I think we hold the key together not only to our own prosperity, but to generate growth and jobs world-wide." But Beijing is uneasy about its dollar assets and US treasury debt, especially given the recent downgrade of the US' credit rating. Wu reiterated that China had changed significantly since Biden was last there 10 years ago, saying this visit would strengthen bilateral ties. Sunita Rappai, Reuters
