Soldiers stand guard in Cameroon - after armed gunmen dressed in military fatigues open fire on a main bridge. Just before dawn, the gunmen - opposed to the West African nation's president - fired shots at police - and halted traffic in the busy financial city of Douala. An official said several people have been arrested - and local media reported at least one person was killed in the attack. During the two-hour siege, the gunmen held up a signs calling for President Paul Biya to step down. Biya - one of Africa's last strongmen - will run in the presidential election in two weeks. He has been in power for 29 years and is widely expected to win. Sarah Irwin, Reuters.
