This year the top prize went to Unidos da Tijuca. The samba troupe recreated the story of Brazilian singer and composer Luiz Gonzaga, who would have turned 100 this year. And President of the school, Fernando Horta, says spectator expectations increase every year. SOUNDBITE: Fernando Horta, President of Unidos da Tijuca samba school, saying (Portuguese): "The samba school's responsibility gets bigger every year. This year we presented a huge spectacle.
