(ROUGH CUT ONLY - NO REPORTER NARRATION) U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton arrived in Mongolia on Monday (July 9) as part of her Asian tour to bolster ties in the region. Upon her arrival, Clinton held bilateral talks with President Tsakhia Elbegdorj days after the formation of the country's new parliament. Elbegdorj has called on all parties to quickly agree on forming a ruling coalition, after official results of the parliamentary election showed the opposition Democratic Party has won most of the seats, but not enough for a majority. Clinton arrived in Ulan Bator from Tokyo, where she attended a donor conference on Afghanistan. She will fly to Vietnam on Tuesday (July 10), and then to Laos and Cambodia before heading to Cairo on July 14.
