July 20 - The funeral is held for Syrian Defense Minister Daoud Rajha killed in a bomb attack. Rough cut (no reporter narration).
(ROUGH CUT ONLY - NO REPORTER NARRATION) A public mass is held in the Holy Cross Church in Damascus on Friday for former Syrian Defense Minister General Daoud Rajha, who was killed in a bomb attack that targeted the building of the Syrian National Security on Wednesday. The bomb caused the death of Rajha, former Syrian Defense Minister, General Hassan Ali Turkmani, and Assef Shawkat, the brother-in-law of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Crowds from different sects took part in the funeral of the Christian official whilst cheering for the Syrian Army and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Assad himself has made only one public appearance since the attack, adding to the sense of challenge to his authority. On Thursday he was shown on television swearing in a new defence minister to replace Rajha.
