Sept. 11 - A solemn ceremony in New York honors those killed in the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center. Deborah Lutterbeck reports.
Mourners gather at the site of the former World Trade Center in downtown New York Tuesday to honor those killed on September 11th 2001, when Islamic militants hijacked airplanes and crashed them into the twin towers. Family members of those who died read the names aloud of those who were killed that day. Flowers were placed the walls that surround the reflecting pools at Ground Zero which mark the footprints of the twin towers. Politicians attended the ceremony but this year only the family members spoke.
