June 11 - Several Syrian rebel brigades have regrouped to attack military outposts following President Bashar al-Assad's forces' victory in the border town of Qusair. Deborah Gembara reports.
The sting of Assad's victory in once rebel-held Qusair still fresh, Syrian rebels intensified their attacks on military targets throughout the country, in this latest video posted to the internet whose content Reuters cannot independently verify. Different brigades came together to bombard this military outpost near the northern town of Idlib but found themselves under fire in war torn cities like Homs. Rebels have been plagued by setbacks since the start of the year and rightfully fear the shift the war has taken since trained Hezbollah fighters began fighting along side government forces. Both sides are believed to be on the move for Aleppo, where a fierce battle is expected for control of Syria's largest city.
