A new exhibition which shows Marvel's superhero team The Avengers in a new light opens in New York City. Rollo Ross reports.
New York City is the home of many of Marvel's superheroes so suitably they've opened up Marvel's Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. to allow those of us without extraordinary abilities a special view on their favourite comic book characters. Visitors can act as an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. to thoroughly research the likes of Thor, Iron Man, The Hulk, Black Widow and Captain America using cutting edge technology. SOUNDBITE Former Marvel president and chairman, Stan Lee, saying (English): "They have taken The Avengers, like Iron Man and instead of just a comic book character or a movie character they have shown an exhibit of how Iron Man might really exist. How a man could fly in a suit of armor." SOUNDBITE Former Marvel president and chairman, Stan Lee, saying (English): "There are charts and graphs and things that move and lights that flash and it's the most fascinating thing in the world. And it must have cost a billion dollars." Stan Lee is the former Marvel president and chairman who co-created many of the most classic Marvel superheroes. SOUNDBITE Former Marvel president and chairman, Stan Lee, saying (English): "It is so much more than I expected. I think this is going to become the top tourist attraction in the whole city when people learn about it." Marvel's Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. is open to the public until January 5th 2015.
