Assad supporters are making noise in the streets. They're celebrating Bashar al-Assad winning Syria's presidential election, and securing a third term in office. (SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) SYRIAN PARLIAMENT SPEAKER MOHAMMAD AL-LAHAM, SAYING: "I declare the victory of Dr Bashar Hafez al-Assad as president of the Syrian Arab Republic with an absolute majority of the votes cast in the election." The parliamentary speaker said Assad secured 88.7 percent of the votes. This, as new amateur video emerges... purporting to show children carried from damaged buildings in Aleppo after a bombing. While in Damascus, celebratory gunfire and fireworks erupted before the results were even announced. Authorities said three people were killed and 10 wounded. Assad's opponents said that no credible poll could be held in the midst of a conflict that has killed 160,000 people.
