Residents of Taiz try to stop the advance of Houthi fighters...following their takeover of the central Yemeni city on Sunday. But they're soon dispersed with the help of security forces. (SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) PROTESTER, AHMAD GASSIM, SAYING: "We were peacefully demonstrating when they opened fire and used tear gas on us." The protesters say they want to stop the Shia rebels from leaving to attack the city of Aden. It's where President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi has set up a rival power base. Both sides deny the other's legitimacy. The Houthi expansion into mostly Sunni areas has led to months of clashes with local tribes and al Qaeda... ...raising fears of a civil war.
