Star of action thriller 'John Wick' Keanu Reeves talks action, 'The Matrix' and 'gun fu' at the movie's London screening. Rough Cut (no reporter narration)
ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Actor Keanu Reeves is out for revenge in his new film 'John Wick'. He plays the title character, a former hitman who goes after the person who killed his beloved dog after a home invasion. At the movie's London screening, the actor, who stepped away from action films for a few years, remarked that he was pleased to return to the genre. 'John Wick' was directed by first time filmmaker Chad Stahelski and producer David Leitch who are both former stuntmen and have worked with Reeves on previous projects. In fact, Stahelski was Reeves' stunt double in 'The Matrix' trilogy. When asked if there was some crossover with 'The Matrix', Reeves remarked, "I don't know, in 'The Matrix' there was a lot more wire and we were doing Kung Fu. In this one they called it Gun Fu so there was some -- they tried to mix some gun stuff with some judo, and some jiu jitsu organically. So the style was a little different." 'John Wick' is out now in the US, and will be in UK cinemas on April 10.
