ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev attended a welcoming ceremony in Vietnam on Monday (April 5) during his three-day visit to the Southeast Asian country aimed at strengthening bilateral ties. After the welcoming ceremony in front of the Vietnamese presidential palace, Medvedev held bilateral talks with his Vietnamese counterpart, Nguyen Tan Dung. On Tuesday (April 7), he is expected to pay his first visit to Ho Chi Minh city, the most populous city in Vietnam, and the country's business center. This is the third official visit by Medvedev to Vietnam. The first was in 2010 when he was Russia's president, and the second was in 2012 as prime minister.
