U.S. Senator Rand Paul's political journey is highlighted in a new comic book. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
ROUGH CUT (No reporter narration) STORY: Just as U.S. Senator Rand Paul announced his bid to run for President of the United States, a new comic book on the candidate is released to help voters learn a little more about the hopeful. The Kentucky politician is Bluewater Productions latest addition to its Political Power series. In a statement, company President Darren G. Davis said: "It's my hope that these informative and entertaining books teach readers about the candidates." The 24-page glossy reads like a biography as it outlines Paul's upbringing and political career. The publication was written by freelance writer Michael Frizell who called Paul a fascinating figure in a statement. "As a writer, I always want to craft stories about people who hold strong convictions. His ties to family give readers a glimpse at his character, and his often-controversial stances make him an interesting person to depict in graphic format." Paul officially announced his bid on Tuesday (April 7) and is the second major Republican to jump into the 2016 race after Senator Ted Cruz of Texas. A crowded field is expected, with candidates competing hard for constituencies ranging from the Christian right to traditional Wall Street Republicans. Others included in the Political Power series include Michelle Bachmann, Barack Obama, Sarah Palin and more. "Political Power: Rand Paul" will be released on April 15.
