+++CONTAINS IMAGES SOME MAY FIND GRAPHIC+++ Afghan President Ashraf Ghani is blaming Islamic State militants for a suicide blast that killed at least 33 people in the eastern city of Jalalabad, without giving further detail. The blast also injured more than 100 people, leaving civilians fighting for their lives in a local hospital. Some are wondering how exactly they got here: (SOUNDBITE) (Pashto) MAN WOUNDED IN BLAST, BASEER JAN, SAYING: "I was at the area when the explosion happened, I saw many innocent people lying on the ground, I don't know what happened next." The blast shook an area outside a bank where government workers collect their salaries. Local media report a spokesman for a group claiming to represent Islamic State said IS carried out the attack. Reuters cannot immediately verifty these claims. But if true, it would be the first such major attack carried out by Islamic State in Afghanistan, marking a significant step in its expansion into South Asia.
