Donald Trump criticizes U.S. military veteran and Senator John McCain, saying, ''He's not a war hero. He's a war hero because he was captured. I like people that weren't captured.'' Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump attended the Family Leadership Summit in Ames, Iowa, United States on Saturday, where the moderator asked Trump about U.S. Senator John McCain's history as Vietnam veteran. "John McCain, a war hero, five and a half years as a POW (prisoner of war), and you call him a dummy. Is that appropriate in running for president?" moderator Frank Luntz asked. "I supported him for president, I raised a million dollars for him, that's a lot of money. I supported him, he lost, he let us down. But you know, he lost. So I never liked him as much after that, because I don't like losers," Trump replied. "He's not a war hero. He's a war hero because he was captured. I like people that weren't captured," he added.
