ROUGH CUT - SUBTITLED (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Asma al-Assad, the wife of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, visited an orphanage in the capital, Damascus, on Tuesday (December 22), on the occasion of the Prophet Mohammad's birthday. The Syrian Presidency released a video accompanied by music showing Assad walking around the al-Tamayoz Orphans Care Centre and talking to volunteers and orphan children. A group of girls performed a dance for Assad before she toured the medical facilities at the center. Asma Assad's last public appearance was on December 19 when she and her husband attended Christmas choir preparations in an ancient church close to the front-line area of Damascus, where the Syrian army is engaged in heavy fighting with rebels.
