''I just kept kind of ogling her'' says Bill Clinton, who says Hillary introduced herself to him while the pair were staring at each other in law school. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Former president Bill Clinton spoke at an event in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Thursday (January 7) where he told guests how he met Hillary in law school. "I'll give you an idea of this early leadership," Bill said before he began his story, acknowledging the crowd at the National Czech and Slovak Museum and Library. "I just kept kind of ogling her and one night in the Yale library... all of a sudden she closed her law book, walked the entire length of the library, walked up to me and said 'look, if you're going to keep staring at me and I'm going to keep staring back we at least ought to know each other's name. I'm Hillary Rodham, what's your name?'" the former president said. In recent weeks Republican frontrunner Donald Trump has tried to blunt the impact of the popular former president campaigning for his wife by raising the issue of Bill Clinton's marital infidelities.
