Supporters of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton celebrate her victory over Bernie Sanders in Nevada. Yiming Woo reports.
Supporters of Hillary Clinton cheer her on after her victory in the Nevada caucases. She beat out a strong challenge from Bernie Sanders, her rival for the Democratic Party nomination. Many of those celebrating hope the winning streak will carry on to the contest in South Carolina next week. (SOUNDBITE) (English) CLINTON SUPPORTER KEN TIETJEN SAYING: "I am so excited that Hillary won Nevada. You know, Nevada put out the Bern and Hillary has all the momentum going forward and Texas is going to bring it home." (SOUNDBITE) (English) CLINTON SUPPORTER LISA VORMWALD SAYING: "I think this is a tipping point. This is the point where she now gets her momentum going into the south and it's all Hillary from here." While Clinton is a step closer to becoming the first female U.S. President, her lead over Sanders was narrow enough to suggest the race will be long and hard fought.
