North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un says the country will soon test a nuclear warhead. Neighbouring countries were quick to condemn the announcement made on state media. Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga has said provocations need to stop -- "We absolutely cannot allow the North to continue with this attitude", he says. South Korea's President Park Guen-hye said the North is heading towards self-destruction. (SOUNDBITE) (Korean) SOUTH KOREAN PRESIDENT, PARK GEUN-HYE, SAYING: "I think North Korea's threat shows that it is experiencing a strong sense of crisis, due to our cooperation with the international society over the sanctions against it." The U.N. Security Council issued a fresh round of harsh sanctions against the country last month. Pyongyang has been issuing threats ever since, but international experts question their technological capabilities.
