U.S. Capitol Police made over 140 arrests on Friday during a Democracy Spring protest against big money in politics and laws that make it difficult for people to vote. Celebrity website TMZ reported that actress Rosario Dawson was also among those arrested. Twelve of the protesters had cuffed themselves inside the Capitol rotunda, where it is prohibited to demonstrate, before they were processed "on scene" by police. Authorities charged the protesters with unlawful crowding and obstructing.
