Demonstrators gather in Sao Paulo calling for ousted leftist President Dilma Rousseff to be brought back in place of center-right interim government led by Michel Temer. Deborah Lutterbeck reports.
A show of supported for ousted President Dilma Rouseff on the streets of Brazil -- protesting what they say is an illegitimate interim government led by Michel Temer. Protesters have emerged throughout the country since last Thursday when the initiation of leftist Rousseff's trial ushered in a center-right interim government. (SOUNDBITE) (Portuguese) DEMONSTRATOR, EDIVA AGUILAR, SAYING: "Bring back Dilma and out with Temer. No one wants elections, we want Dilma back as soon as possible, because she was taken out of her post through a coup. There was no justification for impeachment, so we want Dilma back." The protest goes into the night amid fear that the new government's plans to spur a recovery could mean rolling back progressive policies.
