ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION). President Barack Obama dismissed on Thursday as ridiculous Trump's claims that the election may be rigged after a Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump told voters in Ohio on August 1 that he feared the election was "going to be rigged" "Of course the elections will not be rigged. What does that mean?" Obama said with exasperation. "If Mr Trump is suggesting that there is a conspiracy theory that is being propagated across the country including the places like Texas where typically it is not Democrats who are in charge of voting booths that's ridiculous, that doesn't make any sense." Obama, a Democrat who endorsed his former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the 2016 White House race, has made clear his dismay over Trump. Trump is trailing Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in polls.
