U.S. Vice President Joe Biden said, in an interview broadcast on Sunday (October 30), that comments by Republican nominee Donald Trump questioning whether Russia was responsible for cyber attacks on the U.S. were undermining U.S. security officials. In an interview broadcast on the CBS program, "Face the Nation", Biden said Trump's comments were "so far out of the box" that he was either "devoid of facts" or was trying to undermine officials Earlier this month, the U.S. government formally accused Russia of a campaign of cyber attacks against Democratic Party organizations ahead of the Nov. 8 presidential election. Trump has expressed doubt about Russia's involvement. In July, he suggested Russia should attempt to hack into the private server of his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, and retrieve and publish her emails.
