After a grueling campaign and shocking election win, U.S. President-elect Donald Trump is named Person of the Year by Time Magazine. Jillian Kitchener reports.
First, an election win that took millions by surprise... and now, President-elect Donald Trump has been named Time Magazine's Person of the Year. Shortly after the announcement, Trump told NBC that being recognized by Time quote - "means a lot." Whether voters were for him or against him, Trump captivated audiences during his 2016 campaign with surprising comments on Mexicans, Muslims and women... at one point calling rival Hillary Clinton a "nasty woman" among other things. The former reality-TV star beat out 16 Republican candidates and rose to ultimate victory on November 11. And amid ongoing protests, Trump continues to make headlines with cabinet choices and outspoken statements as he prepares to take office in January.
