ROUGH CUT. NO REPORTER NARRATION. U.S. President Donald J. Trump, on Friday (January 20), attended three balls in Washington, D.C. as he celebrated his first day as Commander-in-Chief. Trump and First Lady Melania danced to a rendition of Frank Sinatra's "My Way" at the Liberty Ball and the Freedom Ball, before joining members of the armed forces at a third event. The newly sworn-in president, who has vowed to "put America First" was joined on the dance floor by Vice President Mike Pence and his wife Karen Pence, as well as various family members. At the Freedom Ball, Trump recalled his "amazing journey" and vowed to "get it done", drawing huge rounds of applause. Trump, 70, takes over a country divided after a savage election campaign. Hours after taking the oath of office, Trump, who repeatedly promised to repeal former president Barack Obama's signature health-care law, signed his first executive order, directing U.S. agencies to delay, waive or grant exemptions from any provisions of the Affordable Care Act deemed burdensome for states or individuals.
