U.S. President Donald Trump and Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni offer condolences to France after a police shooting in Paris. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) U.S. President Donald Trump and Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni on Thursday offered their condolences to the people of France after the fatal shooting of a police officer with Trump saying "it looks like another terroist attack." The shooting, in which the assailant was also killed, left one policeman dead and two others wounded. It took place on the Champs-Elysees shopping boulevard just days ahead of France's presidential election. A French interior ministry spokesman said it was too early to say what the motive of the attack was, but that it was clear the police officers had been deliberately targeted.
