It was a night of diversity, inclusion and political speeches during this Sunday's MTV Movie and TV awards. The award ceremony known for being unconventional now features non-gendered acting categories. British actress Emma Watson won both Best Actor and Best Actress for Disney's live-action "Beauty and the Beast". Actress Emma Watson Saying: "Acting is about the ability to put yourself in someone else's shoes and that doesn't need to be separated into two different categories," Streaming platform Netflix had a spotlight with 80's sci-fi series Stranger Things winning the Show of the Year award. This year's ceremony saw presenters and winners being vocal on stage about diversity. Actress Taraji P. Henson defended equality while receiving The Best Fight Against the System award for the film Hidden Figures. Actress Taraji P. Henson, saying: "The message of the movie is togetherness. Like, I hate the separatism, I hate that it's man versus woman, black versus white, gay versus straight. Whatever, we're all humans, right?" The Best Kiss award went to actors Ashton Sanders and Jharrel Jerome for their appearance in Oscar-winning film "Moonlight". Actor Vin Diesel received the MTV Generation Award representing the Fast and Furious franchise. Hugh Jackman and newcomer Dafne Keen won Best Duo on Logan while actor Daniel Kaluuya won the Next Generation award for the horror film Get Out. At the end of the ceremony, Daily Show's comedian Trevor Noah took the best host award thanking President Trump. Comedian Trevor Noah, saying: "Thank to Donald J. trump for the comedy."
